    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr Keshawani is a very caring and professional teacher. He does research in pharmaceuticals so if that is your niche, apply to get into his lab ASAP. This professor will be hitting a breakthrough soon, I can feel it.

    Course highlights:

You learn the base of organic chemistry, the uses, and the way that chemistry actually can relate to us in the real world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you have a really good lab teacher or you will never understand what you are doing or any of the application. Lab really, really enforces the ideas taught in class. Dr Larry Smith is an excellent choice! DO YOUR HOMEWORK (even though its not graded) its worth it!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is foundational for all upper level chemistries and is a fun class to take as well. Dr. Schrock is an awsome teacher, she is always willing to give students as much help as they need during office hours and her tests are very reasonable and rarely have surprises on them.

    Course highlights:

Chemical mechanism are the most important part of this course that carry over into org chem two. Understanding stereo chemistry is also important and goes hand in hand with understanding mechanisms and products that come from reactions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study understand mechanisms of reactions, not only memorize. You need the knowledge from this course to move on to other chemistries. Create study groups and always go to the teachers office hours to review befor the test whether you think you need to or not.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was very informational with the material taught in a smooth manner.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were nomenclature, because learning that brought all the info. from chemistry 1 and two and the beginning of organic together.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not miss class and rewrite everything.
