    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed the course material and it was very interesting learning about European history. This course would not be good if you are not a history buff because you have to follow the timeline of what happened in Europe and to better understand the material it helps to connect events to what is happening in the world. At times the subject material was dry and the teacher did not explain and make connections as well as he could have.

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight of this course was our end of the year AP project. We were given the choice of anything that interested is and we could present in any medium that would properly explain our subject. When I did my project I picked the Morrocan Crises, an event I found very interesting, and compiled all the information after I learned as much as I could about what happened. I liked the project because it gave me a chance to master a topic, and to two years later I still remember both Morrocan Crises.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Buy good pens and establish a good note taking strategy because it is taking a lot of notes. You will also be required to memorize things, such as the timeline of events and succession of Kings and Queens, so it is helpful to have a concrete way to study.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Sisk is an incredible and enjoyable teacher with a dry sense of humor. He knows exactly what he is doing and how to teach the class. He does not just blindly state facts but instead makes history fun and enlightening.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed seeing how artwork progressed throughout the eras of history from the medieval times ruled by the church, to the enlightenment, to the post World War One artwork. It was also pretty amusing how France kept fighting with England like an old married couple throughout many years of the early ages.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't get discouraged at the beginning. The course picks up and the workload outside of school is not too bad. Mr. Sisk will go over everything and encourages students to do well and seek knowledge.
