Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was enthralling, pulling from different subjects including biology, chemistry, even statistics. Mrs. Compher does an amazing job of keeping you engaged and preparing you for the AP Exam.

    Course highlights:

This course encompasses many phenomena, delving into concepts like social science and how we interact around others, analyzing how our brain functions and studying the effect of drugs.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Studying vocab is one of the most important keys to success. I also recommend completing the study guides, which add 5 points to your test grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because not only does it contain fascinating course material that proves to be beneficial towards everyday knowledge, but with Mrs. Compher instructing the course, there is a definite chance to earn college credit, which can potentially save money and time.

    Course highlights:

In this fall course, I was able to learn in detail about different psychological approaches, social psychology, and human behavioral tendencies in relation to cognition, intelligence, perception, thinking, learning, language, and memory. In my opinion, the highlight of the course was the unit in which we discussed social psychology, as this topic is extremely broad and contained many intriguing explanations as to why, socially, people would behave in certain ways.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This class contains heavy vocabulary. In order to succeed up to your individual full potential, you must not procrastinate when reading the chapter and completing the notecards, and throughout the semester, continue to review all of the notecard definitions and notes taken in class, as the tests given are primarily cumulative.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Jill Compher is most likely one of the most excitable teachers when it comes to Psychology. She truly loves the topic, which is needed for such a tough course, and doesn't discourage any student when having trouble. She's the most understanding, outgoing, and caring teacher I've had in my 12 years of schooling.

    Course highlights:

My favorite things to learn about psychology was the learning and thinking chapters and memory chapters. It's very interesting learning about how our brain works and how we function as people every day.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid to fail, but am to succeed of course! The main struggle I've had is the fear of failing and being a disappointment to Mrs. Compher. However, with her as your teacher, there is no possible way you can actually fail, but learn from your mistakes.
