Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I loved the interactive nature Mr. Block added to literature.

    Course highlights:

Although this was just an introductory course, we learned more than just the basics of grammar and literature. First, we began by learning grammar including punctuation, subject-verb agreement, etc. Then, we moved into literature analysis with a focus on novels and later poetry. Also, we spent time looking into the different kinds of rhetoric and evidence of them in the election process. Lastly, we read a lot of short stories and wrote short opinionated responses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would consider finding a partner to edit all of your writing. This will be very on the essays, but I would get them to look over shorter writing assignments also.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a double-edged sword, mainly because of the teacher. She makes it very difficult, but your writing is whipped into tip-top shape as a result.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about my own writing and how it needed to improve. I learned how to analyze advertisements, which was difficult, but interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try VERY hard on your essays, and start early! All the effort you put into making the essays shine will be worth it, and you'll have something to be very proud of if she gives you an A. :)
