    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because not only is Mr. Loy a superb teacher who also has a funny personality, but because the subject material is nicely presented and taught. The class is also on a 6 point scale, which helps with raising GPA.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the lab days and the AP review days. The lab days were great because it gave us a chance to put what we learned into practice, while also being a fun way to teach or present to us new material. The AP review days were also a highlight because everyone got to work at their own pace, with the help of Mr. Loy.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This class needs a focused and dedicated mind. There a lots of formulas to remember, and lots of big ideas which, in some way or another, end up being related. For this class, I would recommend devoting around 30 minutes each day to study, and not blowing off work as it helps you understand the math involved.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was likely one of my favorite classes as physics indeed intrigues me learning how everything fits and moves together

    Course highlights:

I learned especially all of Newton's laws we spent quite a lot of time on those as well talking about some of Kepler's laws, however the experiments were indeed what one would learn most from

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pretty much for the most part be sure to take notes they'll really help especially learn the symbols used in the class as there are several of them

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to those up for the challenge. It is an opportunity to learn about the way things work (from rollercoasters to hitting a baseball) and how to handle a college-level class. It definitely requires a lot of studying and tutoring.

    Course highlights:

It was neat doing activities like rolling a bowling ball through a course, the egg drop, designing a bungee cord for a barbie, and discovering an equation through experimentation. My favorite unit was probably parabolas. We had a lot of practice with word problems and experiments.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make physics a priority. Study for the tests so that you understand the concept behind the subject and not just how to plug numbers into equations. Go into tutoring and ask people for help (not just answers).
