Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor uses a combination of lecture, discussions and projects to get us excited about government and current events. We are free to share our opinions and ideas in an environment that is safe from judgement and ridicule.

    Course highlights:

We followed the election and had many discussions about the controversy surrounding the election and its results. We learned that although people have a wide arrange of views on topics, we all basically want the same thing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend that they keep up with their reading because the tests come from not only class discussions but from the text book readings. I would also highly recommend participating in the class discussions. Through the sharing of ideas and opinions you will gain a new appreciation for the government, its processes and even its controversies.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Allen is an exceptional teacher at Henderson High School and also a professor at Kilgore College through the dual credit program. He taught the course in terms and the language where the modern, current generation of teenagers can fully understand. Mr. Allen taught the class like he was telling a story, and we his students were all in the story during that period of time

    Course highlights:

The course was about American History that has been taught to students all throughout their lives. This course you learn about the history of our country more in dept and in detail, and also gain an understanding of the struggles we have gone through as a country to bring us here to the present day.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise students to take notes as he lectures, attend the study meetings, always pick up study guides, and study your notes for the test!!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because history is crucial to the decision made today. It is necessary to understand what mistakes were made in history so that those mistakes are not made again.

    Course highlights:

I gained further knowledge on wars and the people who created the United States.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always study and do not wait until the day before a test. Pop quizzes are stressful and difficult if you do not study.
