    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although it was a challenging course I really enjoyed it. AP Biology gave me a much deeper understanding of biology and I think it definitely prepared me well for college.

    Course highlights:

We learned about many different topics of biology such as cells, evolution, and genetics. We also participated in all of the college board labs, which were very fun and interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to only take this course if they are willing to spend a few hours preparing outside of class each week. In this course it is necessary to read ahead for notes and study for at least 3 hours for each test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to students. I am slightly biased because I love biology. Although, I would warn students not to take this course unless they are prepared for the amount of studying and preparing this class requires.

    Course highlights:

In this course, students learn about many biological topics including genetics, bioinformatics, ecology, mitosis, meiosis, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would encourage students to take this course seriously. Students must commit time each week to reading ahead and reviewing notes. For tests, I would recommend that students print out important diagrams and be familiar with drawing and explaining them.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course provides an understanding in more than just biology. It teaches you how to properly organize information, proper studying techniques, and how to more deeply inquire into issues you may not understand. The course really prepares students for college.

    Course highlights:

This course focused on genetics, evolution, organic systems, and the interaction between organisms.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You should study for at least 2 hours a day. Spend hour reviewing what you went over that day. The spend your second hour reviewing what you will learn the next day.
