    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would defiantly recommend this course. This course was challenging and required daily study outside of class, but it taught me study habits that I wouldn't have learned other wise. I'm positive that this class has prepared me for the future and that I will be able to apply what I've learned in future AP classes, college, and even future professions.

    Course highlights:

While this class was often challenging and required daily effort, it taught me many things. I not only learned more about our country's history, I learned important study habits that I'm positive will help me in the near future. I learned what principles our country was founded upon and how they are stll seen today. I became aware of our country's past mistakes and what we've learned from those poor decisions so we can make better ones in the future. I became more knowledgeable about how the country's government runs and how new laws are passed. Overall, I became more confident in the role I personally can play in our country, including how to vote, how to asses politician's decisions, how to actively use my right of freedom of speech, and how to be more involved in the political community. Another aspect of knowledge I gained was how to pass a difficult class. This course required me to spend time daily taking notes and studying. I was required to learn things for my self and then apply my new knowledge in the classroom. I learned which study habits make me more successful on tests and assignments. From this course, I also learned I can do hard things. I was very much challenged by this class and was required to give a lot of effort, but it was worth in it the end when I received a 5 on my AP test and received college credit. I'm very glad I took this class and I believe that everyone would benefit from it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In this class, it was almost impossible to succeed with out doing the reading. I would recommend always staying on top of your reading and even getting ahead. I would also recommend finding practice tests online over the time period you're studying in order to test how well you know the material.
