    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course integrates US History with English Language and Composition. The course delves into literature and different texts with focus on both historical and language aspects. It was very interesting to be able to analyze texts and the history they connect with.

    Course highlights:

In taking this course, I gained a stronger understanding of both historical content and how to better structure my writing as well as analyze different texts.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are planning to take this course, I would keep up with the reading and pay attention while actively participating in class discussion (it can be really helpful).

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was very interesting an useful. The union of AP English 3 and AP U.S. History was very splendid and joyful.

    Course highlights:

The research paper the students have to do at the end of the school year. It is very intense but at the same time it is very fun.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not slack and do not copy. If you want a class that will challenge you like a real college class, take this class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Santagata is probably the best teacher I have ever had. She takes time to make sure we understand every part of the AP Test (Lang and APUSH), while not making it a test prep class. After the course, if you do the required work (which yes, is a lot), you will have a full understanding of US History, writing cognitive essays, using rhetorical strategies, and much more. I couldn't recommend this course more.

    Course highlights:

I gained a work ethic and time management in this course. I have always been good at managing school work, but this course showed me that AP is not a joke. You have to have discipline in this class, especially if you have multiple extracurriculars like I did. Something I really enjoyed about the class was that we got through all the material thoroughly but we still had time to have class discussions about the books we were reading and patterns in history, as well as current events.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to go into this course with the mindset that you will have to work hard. There is a ton of work, but you have to remember that this is two courses in one. It will get tiring but I promise with dedication you can get a good grade. DO NOT SLACK OFF!
