    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not only is the course one of the most information-dense courses I have ever partaken in, but the information itself is absolutely fascinating. Never before have I considered how tightly art as medium intertwines with world history.

    Course highlights:

A key highlight of this course was not only learning about the art created throughout the centuries, as well as their cultural significance, but being able to be a part of art projects in a typically academic-only study regimen is a nice breather from rigid academics. I've learned that art is an extremely complicated medium that is equally as important, if not more so, as the history associated with it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take as many notes as possible. The course is based off of memorisation, so it cannot be taken lightly. Repetition is key to succeeding in this course.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course covers extensive information on the history of art. I highly recommend it to former artists or people interested in art in general.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would have to be the fun assignments Mrs. Glaskow assigns us towards the end of each six weeks. She makes the class enjoyable despite its difficulty.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you come prepared to learn. Do not slack off in class or lose attention because your grades will show. If you're interested in the art, then it will make the class extremely easier.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is nice to take a break from the traditional subjects like math ,science, and English. Ironically, this course actually combines all of these subjects in the information behind the pieces we study. It is a course that is as intensive in memorization as it is interesting.

    Course highlights:

I have learned about almost 250 pieces of art along with the artist's name, culture, and time period. I have the privilege of memorizing these for the notorious AP Art History test. Our class has a variety of students from different backgrounds. We have introverts, extroverts, former artists, and honor students. Mrs. Glasgow always keeps the class interesting by giving students creative projects and encouraging competition in the class through art skills.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Some good advice would be to always keep up with your work and take very good notes in class to help you study. Make sure to always look at the calendar and prioritize your time because this class will take up a lot of it.
