Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I really think it's important to understand why people do the things that they do or how someone might react to a certain situation and I also believe that everything you do has a little bit of psychology involved in it.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course in my opinion were the discussions and the projects that we did. The projects were based on research and we were taught why people did the things that they did and how the mind works. We were taught the different disabilities and the different treatments that people would receive for the different disabilities that they had which I thought was very interesting to learn about because viewing the way someone's mind works from another perspective can be extremely important depending on who you come across later on in life or who you end up dealing with.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to the students considering this course would be to participate in the group discussions and be open to learning more about the way people think and how people react to certain things. This course could be very fun if you actually pay attention. What you put into it is exactly what you get out of it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I found the class to be genuinely interesting and Mr. Lum was a great teacher who made sure we understood the material and that we were as successful in his class as possible.

    Course highlights:

In the first unit we learned basic parts of the brain. We then moved on to the inner workings such as memory, facial recognition, and cognition. the last unit was about psychological abnormalities such as mental illness.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention to the power points, they're extremely helpful so I'd recommend taking notes on them. Make sure to always study for the tests as well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is mostly notes and reading guides, but Mr. Lum is a really nice teacher and the class is interesting. There's just a reading guide every week and a crossword, tedious, but not difficult.

    Course highlights:

We have a lot of class participation and everyone likes to talk and share their experiences, it's always on task and on topic so it helps create a better understanding by bringing it to a more personal level.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to take Sociology one semester, then this the next. It's the same class structure, different topic.
