Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a class that is fundamental to college as well as the work field. You get to cultivate superb writing skills and literary knowledge. Also since it is an AP course, you get college credit, alleviating your wallet from the pain of paying for the class in college.

    Course highlights:

Because of this course, my writing skills have increased by a large degree. There is a great disparity from my level of writing at the beginning and at the end of the course. The max score on the grading scale for AP essays is a nine. Through this course, my grade always remained either an eight or nine. I am now comfortable writing with a time crunch, writing with the best material put forth the first time and I am no longer embarrassed to have my works read aloud.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class. If you work sufficiently in class, there won't be any homework or extra studying required for the AP exam. I passed with a 4 out of 5 simply by involving myself during that class period.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course only to those people who are ready to take on a challenge. This DC Course is very heavy on reading and being able to analyze it. I enjoyed taking this course because it taught me many things I did not know before, therefore I recommend this course as a way to open yourself up to new challenges.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned how to write a perfect essay, and when I mean perfect I mean it. Before, writing an essay was so hard for me, having to employ my thoughts in a paper, not my thing, but after taking this course, it opened me up to so many views on how to write and not make it boring. Also, I learned new vocabulary words that allowed for these essay's to seem so much entertaining and formal. In this course, I also learned about various writing styles by reading a variety of books, all from different time periods. This course is well worth the challenge.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering taking this course, I would advice that you read the books! Do not lag when the professor gives you a book to read, do it. Most of this course revolves around the books and texts she provides us with, so do not think you can read it the night before, actually analyze it and read it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was a challenging course as there was a lot of reading, studying, essays, and we had to use our time wisely. Although this course was very challenging, I would recommend it as it prepares us for college.

    Course highlights:

The most important skill that I have learned by taking this course was to use my time wisely. Time management is the only way to complete all the assignments in time and have a high grade.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would strongly recommend to only enroll in this class if you know you will not procrastinate and if you know you have the capability to constantly be reading books.
