Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because it has really helped me to understand algebra more in-depth. the Pre-AP part of it may be a little difficult for some people. Personally, I'm a math person and didn't have a problem even on one unit that I missed three days of school.
Course highlights:
For the most part, we went through the different types of equations, starting with linear, then quadratic and quadratic inverses to exponential equations and then logarithms. We looked at different ways to write, solve, graph, etc. each type of equation. It wasn't difficult, just very in depth about each type of equation.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Definitely do all of your homework and pay attention in class. Don't be afraid to ask for help and go to tutoring. Be confident with algebra 1 before ou take this class. It'll help a lot.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
Overall, I learned a lot from this course. Put together, the teacher made everything seem logical while connecting it to everyday life with word problems and references, so that it wasn't just another one of those classes where you sit and think, "When am I ever going to need this?!"
Course highlights:
I gained a deeper understanding of algebra as a whole, learning different formulas daily that can help later in life with everything from bank interest to how to do taxes.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
You need to pay attention. For some people, math comes easy, for others it doesn't. No matter what, though, you need to pay attention and listen to what's being said and watch the examples, it makes life so much easier.
