    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I have learned so much in English 101. It was not easy but with hard work, English 101 taught me to be a better writer and more prepared for college. My teacher pushed me to be a greater English student and to find a passion for our beautiful language.

    Course highlights:

English 101 took me through poetry, figurative language, dramas, and lots of essays. I learned to be thankful for what I have while watching the tragic plays like Oedipus Rex and Hamlet. I learned all the types of poetry and types of conflicts that can be found in short stories. Most of all I loved learning to be a better writer.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

English 101 is a college class that was offered at my high school, so of course it is challenging, but it is worth it. The hours I put into studying and reading short stories, poetry, plays, and writing essay, I was becoming a better student and falling in love with the English language.
