Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend it because I feel like I didn't learn a lot because we didn't have a lot of time to cover each topic. I didn't find the chapter notes very helpful.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about Chinese civilizations and cultures.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do your chapter notes ahead of time.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend AP World History because I feel that it gave me a much better idea of what it means to study. I had to put a lot of effort into that class, due to the heavy workload, and it definitely paid off. I feel so much less stressed this year, even though I still have a pretty heavy workload, since I was able to figure out how to really manage myself. I also learned lots of interesting information over the course of the year, thanks to all of the helpful Crash Course videos we were given. I ended up making a 4 on the AP exam, as I had been able to retain a lot of the facts that we were told and because I went to the study sessions at the end of the year. Overall, though it was a difficult class, I feel like it made me out to be a much more capable student while handing me plenty of things that I ought to know about the world.

    Course highlights:

I learned honestly more than I can put into words. Specifically, I learned a lot about other countries through the years. While we have always taken care to learn about the United States in our education system, we never really get deep into the history of other places around the world. I know much more now about the Chinese dynasties than I would have ever hoped to know, for instance. AP World History just gave me a lot to be able to remember.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest that everyone who takes AP World History cut out the proper amount of time for them personally to get everything done. You get lots of assignments that can pile up throughout the week, so it's best to get a little bit done every day before it's due. While it's best not to overwhelm yourself, if you are able to get everything done in one night, go for it! Just know that some chapters are MUCH longer than others, so you need to be able to keep track of how much time you are putting into everything. You will have lots of other classes to deal with too along the way.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class for the sole reason that the workload gets you used to most AP courses. It's good practice for college courses, but because the material is so vast, can be very hard to keep up with.

    Course highlights:

I learned about where humans came from and our backgrounds. That was interesting, because I've never seen history so expansively.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Use the textbook more than I did and actually study for tests and quizzes.
