    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because of the outstanding real world application of this subject. It is a fun and interactive class in which I had a lot of fun figuring my way through this challenging course.

    Course highlights:

In the literal sense, I learned about how the economy behaves under a variety of situations such as: inflation/deflation, changes in GDP, changes in tend of the economic system and a slew of other things. But I also learned that macroeconomics is extremely important to understanding how the real world functions.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study smarter not harder. Take this class not for the benefit of your grade but for the benefit of your life. Memorizing random facts and information might help you pass but the purpose of the course is defeated. Learn the information in a way that will help you remember for a longer period of time. For example, using study tools such as Course Hero to get a thorough understanding of the subject.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a course with lots of good information that you will actually use outside of high school, so it's worth taking the AP level. If you don't like economics, take AP anyway so you can test out of it.

    Course highlights:

Highlights include learning how money actually works, what the federal reserve is, and general economic concepts. It is a "big picture" type class, but will help in understanding why personal finance and microeconomics are the way they are.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook and do the vocab work! I can't stress this enough. Doing the vocab work before it is due makes a world of difference in how easily you can understand the class discussion. Also, there is a channel on youtube called ACDCLeadership. Mr. Clifford has a ton of review videos for the AP course, so take advantage of those if you are lost.
