    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

In addition to excellent presentation of the ap curriculum, Mr. Parma heavily encourages critical thinking in a world of misinformation. In addition to this, he encourages the importance of participating in the voting process for local, state, and federal government.

    Course highlights:

Mr. Parma prepares students for the US Government AP test in an effective manner. Throughout the class, he also highlights the importance of critical thinking and voter participation. As we went to the course, he also pointed issues such as Super PACs in the campaigning process.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the readings, and homework. Mr. Parma is lenient, but he's also not a pushover.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would strongly recommend taking this course. It provides a much stronger and more broad understanding of US Government and politics that every US citizen should know and understand compared to that provided by preAP government classes.

    Course highlights:

Mr. Parma himself was definitely a highlight, but I would have to say that the most impacting assignment he gave were his Socratic Seminars. We had to search for quotes and arguments from his provided readings that would respond to government and politically related questions. They were challenging, but doing it and seeing what others pulled out of it helped shine light on the subject at hand.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook. STUDY. He may talk a lot in class, but he knows what he's talking about and it's worth listening to.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course taught me something no other high school course was able: how to study, how to earn my grade, and a feeling of accomplishment from passing a course.

    Course highlights:

I loved the WWII unit, but everything about the course was challanging and fun.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, I don't care how smart you think you are.
