    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While the general US history facts have been drilled since the start of secondary education, APUSH allows for a more specific look at historic events. With that being said, the course is memorization - intensive and requires extensive work out of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

More than anything, I effectively improved my historical writing skills. Much practice of long essays and data based question essays allowed me to distinguish the differences between literary- analytical writing and research-based writing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared for the workload, and DO YOUR HOMEWORK TO THE FULLEST ABILITY.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love history but the teacher wasn't the best. He does not do well teaching, he goes around in circles but never gets to the point. He was very annoying and only taught powerpoints but that stuff often was not even on the tests.

    Course highlights:

There's weren't any highlights of the course. I did learn everything that I needed to about the whole span of American history. I did like learning about the wars the best, compared to economy.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Think hard about why you're taking the course. If it's because you love American government then I'd say to take it. If it's just because you want an ap credit then you have to think hard about if you'll be able to handle the course because you need to work hard in order to do well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class itself teaches you more about our own history as a country. Not only does the class teach about history, it does so in an interesting way that makes you want to learn more.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about what our government does and how it was created. Each step along the way to where we are now is taught. From being ruled as a colony to the Articles of Confederation to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. It is all taught; along with more specifics like certain agencies and Capitalism and Federalism.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you pay attention in class. Although you may not feel like you are learning anything, the fact is that you are and that it is not only useful to pass the final, but also because it will be beneficial to you your entire life.
