Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is an optimal choice if you are looking for a good introduction to the rigor of AP courses. The teacher was both knowledgeable and compassionate. This course does require a lot of reading, however it is not more than most students can handle and really prepares students for future classes.

    Course highlights:

Through this course, I became much more knowledgeable about history in general. My personal favorite moment in this course was learning about the life of Cleopatra VII. By far, the most valuable thing that I learned in this class was how to write a good DBQ, or document based question. These same types of essays are required in AP U.S. History, and the DBQ format that I learned from this class has helped me succeed in other courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The most important thing to note about this course is that reading the textbook can make or break your grade. Additionally, developing good studying habits in this class will benefit you later on in high school and college. Lastly, study all of the questions on the quizzes because they are old AP test questions and often appear on the tests for that class.
