    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    I would recommend it because it gives a lot of practice with written essays over poetry, literature, etc. Also, it really allows the student to understand the rigorous course that prepares them for college. Although it's an extremely difficult course, it is just as educational and really develops an individuals english learning.

    Course highlights:

    The highlights were defiantly learning how to structure certain essays based on the questions asked, and whether or not quotes were needed. I also learned how to be responsible with what need to be done when because with all the projects and papers due, I had to make sure that I got everything done in a timely fashion. Time management was by far the most important lesson because it also taught me responsibility with my work.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure that you get your homework done because slacking off in this class is highly frowned upon. I do that the later years in high school equals less motivation, but you must be responsible and keep up the work. Falling behind does just enough damage as not even showing up to class. You must keep up with all the work given to you because in the end it's all work the hard work. You learn how to write college level essays!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    I highly recommend taking Prof. Cox's course. It helped me in deciphering the overwhelming majority of Shakespeare's works and taught me a great deal about expanding my vernacular and structuring my essays.

    Course highlights:

    Perhaps the greatest apart of the course was the dissection of the different pieces of literature that we read. We looked at Hamlet, Macbeth, and works by other acclaimed writers in an extremely analytical light. The things you uncover about these works are extraordinary.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Just make sure that when an assignment is given a deadline that you don't wait around until the last possible minute. Take the time to prepare yourself and gather the resources required to score well on the papers and assignments.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    Thought the course, it was really easy to get help and after school tutoring witch helped me in many ways. I was able to finish my end of the year projects and was able to get someone of the essays for the class done thought meeting with my teacher for help and guidance. The class shouldn't be too hard unless you do the work, it's all about finishing and completing work on time.

    Course highlights:

    It's a hassle to do any group assignments or work when you have not done the reading that was due the night before. Not only that it would be even worse if you're whole group have not read it, but its also going to make you're grade drop really quickly. So I learned that if you get a group of people in you're class and try to make a homework session or dedicate to try to finish required readings and essays. Time management is so very important.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Know you're teacher. Because depending on the teacher that you're having, it my be really hard for you to be successful when you have a teacher that not dedicated into after school hours or giving you extra help. Because if you're not good at debating in you're essay or synthesis, you're going to struggle so much more when you're teacher isn't going to give you office hours. Also, make sure you know someone that is also taking that course with you so you guys can help each . The course is not hard, but to slack off is very easy.
