This course is essential to the completion of my degree. Financial Management teaches you how managers source capital to fund projects, how to calculate the time value of money, and how to assess risk.
I learned how to calculate the net present value of cash flows over the course of a specific time period. I started this course very uncomfortable with the process of using complex formulas to calculate present value, payback period, restructuring costs, and capital rationing.

Advice for students:
Research tutorial videos on concepts you are having difficulty understanding. YouTube is a great source of reference videos for calculating Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), Percentage Sales Method, Capital Rationing, effective annual rate (EAR), and many other financial concepts.
