Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Statistics is by far the best course I have taken during high school. Rissmiller is an amazing teacher and she is truly there to help you understand the material. She is very determined to help everyone learn, but you must also be willing to put in some effort.

    Course highlights:

I took Stat as a Sophomore and it was my first AP course. From taking this class, I gained so much knowledge about the world around me. I also learned how to truly study and work for my grades. I loved how this class applies equations to the real world.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go for it. Put your mind to it and don't be intimidated by the name. Statistics sounds a little scary but I found it to be very interesting.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it is a good first start of college. It is a class that will be taught faster and will more knowledge than a Honors or Academic class. I think that anyone who wants to got to college should take a class like this to be prepared for the life of college classes.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot on statistics. I learned a lot about how taking a survey is very difficult to make it random and have an outcome that can be predicted based on previous answers. Also we did more of graphs and went more in depth to create a bigger understanding.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would give students the advice that it may sound difficult but putting in the extra work will pay off. Also they need to learn that this class will require studying for tests and quizzes and you can not just wing it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because Mrs. Rismiller is a great teacher and the use of statistics is widely applied to all types of lists of data or equations.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were calculating the probability of certain events happening, like the chances of a new world record occurring, or the chances that someone will win the lottery. I learned approximately eight different types of significance tests that can be used to calculate the probability of an event occurring.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Have good study tools - Flashcards are very nice! Always remember which significance test you are using and everything should be straight forward.
