Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because I believe that it is funny and simple to understand concepts of Chemistry. Most of Chemistry will be remembering concepts of certain lessons and also following the formulas on the formula sheet to arrive at your answer. Also, there are many experiments involved to keep students engaged in the lessons.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of AP Chemistry within my school year was definitely the Cycle of Copper Lab. We started with a solid copper copper and we placed it within a solution and made the copper dissolve into the solution. Later, it was amazing to see how we were able to turn the dissolved copper into solid again!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would consider that students should be prepared for what may come and study hard. The course is still an AP course and those who want to strive to obtain an A or B must study hard or pay attention! ? Besides that, you should be fine.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend it. Mr. Dyke's condescending tone, as well as his Star Wars, jokes really make him a one-of-a-kind teacher. The course is an AP course, and of course, with AP classes, a lot of work has to be put in. The class is structured as a lecture-lab type college course, which really prepares you for what's ahead in life. I also passed the AP exam, so success is definitely achievable.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the fun labs. Sure, the lectures were boring, but to apply what you've learned in real-life scenarios brings out the fun in chemistry. Topics such as thermodynamics, buffers and titrations, and even stoichiometry have helped me with other classes as well like AP Physics, Precalculus, and even Culinary Arts. Even if you don't plan on going into the chemistry field, I suggest taking this class for the experience because it's definitely a high-risk-high-reward type challenge.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Put all your hours into it! No reward without any effort! There's no way you can do well in the class without practice, practice, practice. Search up chemistry problems to complete online. Look in textbooks, workbooks, etc. Do anything you can to ensure that you understand the content.
