    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course. Taking a public speaking class would definitely enhance a person's ability to speak and present well in front of others. Communication is how everyone connect with one another.

    Course highlights:

In public speaking, I have learned to communicate better with people. For example, I look people in their eyes while speaking, project louder while presenting, write better, and speak for fluently.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In this course, one needs to always study and prepare themselves weeks in advance to succeed. Get usedbro speaking in front of crowds.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It eased the stress of standing and speaking in front of large crowds. Dr. Lyons was engaging and encouraging, I recommend students take up public speaking even if their major does not require it, it will take them further in any career they choose. The test that were given to us were not difficult, they were questions straight from the text book or class notes.

    Course highlights:

While taking up public speaking, I learned words that were not acceptable when giving a speech to a large crowd. Being nervous was normal, however it was speakers job to not make it too obvious.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this course, or any course, time management was everything. Dr. Lyons was big on respect and didn’t accept any slack. Being late to this class could easily cost a student their grade.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because Public Speaking helps overcome the fear of speaking to an audience or crowd. More importantly, for those looking for jobs, Public Speakings help prepare students for interviews. The course teaches what not to say and what to say to certain people that may be from another culture or state.

    Course highlights:

There are 4 speeches that each student must prepare and deliver in front of the class. I learned how to project my voice and speak clear enough for my audience to hear me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go into this class ready to speak. This is an interactive course so expect nothing less than that.
