Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Literature and Composition is a wonderful course because it teaches students how an author can write persuasively with different literary techniques. This course enables a student to write with persuasiveness while building his/her own argument. Persuasiveness and rhetoric in one's writing is an effective method when writing an argument paper.

    Course highlights:

I learned what rhetoric is. Also, I learned about the different kinds of rhetorical strategies writers use in their text. Class discussions were also an enjoyable activity because students had the ability to apply their own thinking about a specific text and engage in their peers' ideas/opinions.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are a student who likes to read challenging texts and reflect on your thinking, AP Literature & Composition is a good course to take. This English course strengthens your writing skills such as claim structuring and overall organization of an essay.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class pushed me to my limits with memorizing multiple literary techniques and how to analyze what messages authors using language from centuries past are trying to say.

    Course highlights:

In the final stretch of classes before the AP Exam, we are given at least one essay to write every two days with the second day after the paper to assess our writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Please try to stay away from Senioritis as much as possible in this course or the AP exam will be a tough time.
