    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This teacher promotes creative thinking in the pursuit of answers, so students are not restricted by a single-minded way of finding answers. He provides tutoring and extra help for students needing assistance, but he doesn't slow down if people aren't grasping the material, so it's important to keep on task and keep up with the lesson. He is very example oriented and gives a decent amount of homework relating to the material. He tries to incorporate AP exam questions on tests. He does enjoy joking around in class and having a good time with students so long as everyone remains relatively on task and is doing what they are supposed to.

    Course highlights:

He focuses heavily on the algebraic aspects of how to solve problems because this is where he feels students are lacking when they reach his class, which is more than correct. I learned the reasons behind most functions used in class and how they are derived. Most of what is taught can be applied to a physics or AP physics class, so it's great to take one of those while taking calculus. It helps a great deal with grasping the concepts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework. A lot of his quiz and test questions come from previous homework assignments.
