Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great course! Though I might be biased because I love learning about history. We read through the entire textbook which might sound intimidating but there are review videos and power points that helped me out a great deal on APUSHREVIEW.com.

    Course highlights:

In my experience, this course is mostly assigned reading from the text book. Nearly every class we were assigned a chapter to read. The next class, we would have a quiz at the beginning of the period and then discuss the chapter for the remainder of the time. We also hand-wrote the vocabulary terms from each chapter as a grade and took a big test over every two or three chapters.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you can't find time to do the reading look over your vocabulary terms and the power points from APUSHREVIEW.com. I would always print out the outline version of the slides and highlight key names, dates, and places.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP US History is an incredible course that is taught by an incredibly knowledgeable and wonderful teacher. You will learn the hardships and the prosperities encountered by the founders and citizens of our great nation, and you will learn about the events that shaped our nation into what it is today. It is not an easy course, and you will be expected to read all of the assigned text very thoroughly and you will be expected to know many small bits of information from the text.

    Course highlights:

As a class, we participated daily in discussions about current events. This kept us all up-to-date on what was happening in our country. I learned about the hardships faced by the early settlers in colonial America, the formation of our country, and the turning points in our history that have shaped us as a nation today.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading is a major portion of this course. You will be expected to thoroughly read each chapter assigned from the textbook. I found that the best way to study was to make an outline for myself, and discuss each section of every chapter in my study group. I would recommend getting in a group to review portions of the text and watching chapter explanation videos online.
