    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you haven't taken or have a good understanding of Calculus, this class will be very difficult. Although it is supposed to be Algebra-based, the course really does require higher level math and problem solving skills.

    Course highlights:

The course gave me a lot of problem solving skills that were useful for my other courses. It taught me how to take what seems like complex problems, one step at a time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not get overwhelmed and give up. If you are having trouble, go in for tutorials or ask a friends. Every question has an answer, you just have to remain patient and you will get it.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's extremely difficult and the grading is hard. It's also hard to learn from his teaching style at times, and it's hard to tell how the labs are supposed to be done.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of new things about physics and math, and that really helped me in my calculus course, so that did end up helping me in the long run.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You should definitely form study groups with your fellow students, and probably invest in getting a tutor. Also, make sure not to leave the homework to the last minute because they take a long time.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As much as I loved Mr.Pham I, personally, did not learn very well from how his class was structured.

    Course highlights:

I dropped this class after the first six weeks but I did learn the basics of physics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

READ THE TEXTBOOK. It will help more than any class will.
