Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Lowe is an excellent teacher that always keeps your attention. He helps keep you interacted and interested in the class so that you obtain as much information as possible. He is always eager to help you understand and retain the information to make sure that you do well.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of AP Biology is the labs. We use the microscopes to look at cells in different protists and eukaryotes, and examine different structures. I learned more about cells and their different functions. Along with how proteins are regulated and created.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the homework! While it may seem like busy work, it really helps you understand the material and gives you a better comprehension of the class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course was densely packed with interesting and necessary information pertaining to the human body from physical features to molecular functions.

    Course highlights:

I gained a passion for the field of study, and a desire to learn more about the highly complex machine we call a person. The time and effort was severely outweighed by the enjoyment that this class gave me.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Flashcards are very important and are a quick way to help remember those tough terms such as Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because even though it is a face moving course, it is designed to touch lessons that could potentially be seen in college courses. Don't let the fact that the course is AP scare you from taking it. If you do the work and dedicate yourself to learning you'll find you love it.

    Course highlights:

During this course, you see how much biology is involved with every aspect of life. If you question the way things work and the theory behind evolution, this is highly recommended. We learned a wide variety of lessons just in the first semester, for example, evolution, biochemistry, cells, ecology, and will continue to learn much more.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Really study for this class, you may review notes for up to two days, complete a lab and take a quiz on it the same week. Completing the guided readings in class will help so much, and be sure to always ask questions.
