    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She has called a few students stupid to there face and is unbelievable strict with her deadline but it takes her to grade a one page paper.

    Course highlights:

Any other econ professor would be better then her. This is her 1st quarter

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I hope to god it is her last. RUN AWAY FROM THIS CLASS

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was the first core course to obtain a degree in accounting. The theme of beginning accounting courses seemed to be dubbed "weed-out" courses or courses that separate those who've got a grasp on accounting concepts and those that don't. This class with professor Cainas was just the opposite. She was both encouraging, thorough and as a student I felt her genuine interest in us succeeding. It was never in hopes of "weeding us out" of accounting.

    Course highlights:

I learned that a lot can be accomplished in just the summer term with the proper guidance throughout the course. While the course was challenging considering the pace of learning and depth of topics, I admire the structure and attention to detail on every topic discussed in the course. In addition, we were all given a teaching assistant who'd already taken the core accounting courses and was well on their way to sitting for their CPA exam. Most importantly was the professors approach to teaching. This single factor alone can alter a students perception of a subject with considerable ease.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Know that it will take time to grasp concepts. Pacing yourself when learning is tremendous. If you get stuck, move on a comeback to it later. You'll find that dwelling on a single problem that just isn't clicking will frustrate you and ultimately discourage you. Give it time and come back later with a fresh perspective. Also make sure to utilize the sources you have to aid in problem solving.
