    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend Dr. Gray's chemistry class. He is the reason I am pursuing this as a career. He is a tough teacher, but only because he cares about the quality of the learning of his students. He makes chemistry interesting and allows students to be hands on at least twice a week. For me, this approach sparked a passion for the sciences and the way elements work together. It's an amazing experience, feeling like a scientist early on.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were definitely the hands-on labs and Dr. Gray's teaching method. We got to do experiments at least twice a week, and because of this I got used to what it's like to be working in a lab under real conditions. Dr. Gray is also an incredible teacher. He is tough, and he doesn't take any undedicated students. He pushes his students, reinforces them when deserved, and works one-on-one if he notices an issue. I learned so much in this course. I learned a lot about how the elements work together to create the world we live in. I learned about molecules, and their structure, and the way they work. I learned about the importance of those tiny atoms, and how much of an impact they have on our world. This was the most interesting, valuable class I took in all four years of high school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework! Go home and read over your notes so you can understand what was taught. As long as you stay active in the class, you will make a great grade. I never had less than a 120% in chemistry, every quarter. I accomplished that by staying engaged, no matter how difficult it got. It's important that you stay motivated and you ask questions on things you're unsure of so you can study and refresh yourself about what you learned every night.
