    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you are a health professions major, be it public health, health sciences, or biomedical sciences, you should take this class. It's really interesting information and Deidre makes the class fun and easy. There are only 5 quizzes, no final, and the notes are fill-in-the-blank powerpoints, so don't miss class unless you know someone who can give you notes.

    Course highlights:

We learned about contemporary health science, so breezed through topics of sleep, mental health, immunity and infection, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy and childbirth, nutrition, fitness, tobacco, alcohol, unintentional and intentional injuries, cancer, diseases, diabetes, health care, medicine, and aging.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Come to class to take notes, because the power points are fill-in-the-blanks so you have to be there to know. She also tells you what will be on the quiz. There are few readings, but you should read them for the quiz.
