    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As it is a requirement for most majors, especially science, a lot of people will take this course. The only advice I can give is not to take it lightly. Use everything at your disposal to pass the class because this course almost killed me.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basis of chemistry that is required for my major. Even though it was extremely rough, I am glad that I took it and learned the basis of what I need in my career.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. That's all I can say, don't think you can float this course. Listen to the teacher and use everything at your disposal.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Judi is an amazing professor who genuinely cares about her students. You have to put in work but an A is definitely obtainable.

    Course highlights:

One of the best parts of this class was learning about chemical reactions and the bond patterns of certain elements.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework and don't procrastinate.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Gen Chem 1 with Dr. Cruz because he was an amazing professor and taught the content inside and out. He breaks down all the steps cohesively and makes it better for the students to engage in class.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge of general chemistry aspects when going into organic chemistry in my sophomore year. The class really gave me a good background of whats to come when taking higher level chemistry courses in the future.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not wait for the last minute to study and study the material again after you get out of the class. There is a curve which will help boost your grade. You only have 3 exams and a final and all the exams are multiple choice so study hard!
