Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would defiantly recommend this course for those who are planning to base their career on research. You will learn a lot about data analysis. The professor is great! She has a lot of experience; she even wrote her own book. For those, who get an A in this course, she will write a letter of recommendation.

    Course highlights:

In the course you will learn all types of research methods, how to conduct the psychological experiments on your own, and how to analyze and interpret your data correctly.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Please, be prepared to do a lot of homework for this course. You will get assignments every week, that you will be expected to turn in as a hard copy. This homework will teach you all there is to know about the basics of research and will dramatically help do well on the exams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is amazing. She is available and willing to help students as much as she can. The course load is a bit taxing; there are assignments every week. Also, the professor uses the JMP statistical software, as opposed to SPSS which most other professors use.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to conduct my own experiment and run my own statistical analyses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes in class and during the modules. Get the assignments done ASAP. If you have questions, the professor is very helpful in and out of class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Excellent professor who is willing to spend extra time with students! I needed some help with a few of the concepts and was able to get all of the help that I needed. I also had to miss a couple of days of class due to a job interview out of state, and prof. Barbos was more than accommodating. My best advice is just to keep up with the work and ask questions as soon as you have them!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course for me was designing my own experiment and then being able to practically implement it. I learned a lot about problem solving and critical thinking.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the work! It is easy to get in over your head so ask for help when you need it, right away!
