Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is okay. He actually tries to tie in some real life situations in the chapters depending on the lesson.

    Course highlights:

The course is interesting is and makes you want to learn more about the wonders of the human body!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapters from the textbook but not as if you were reading a story. Go back and reread passages you didn't understand or could not remember much about.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone going into the health field. It usually is required, but if not i think you should still take it. You learn so much everyday about the human body and can help you down the road.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed this class so much because it was so interesting to me to learn about so many different things that take place inside us. From bones to how our brain works it is very crazy to me how our bodies function and this class helps you learn basically everything form head to toe.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Obviously this is a tough class so you have to read all the assigned chapters and powerpoints, do all the homework's and study ALOT!!!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend A&P to any student pursuing a career in the medical or healthcare field. It is the basis for understanding the human body and is an essential supplemental class for healthcare professionals. It is also very self applicable as it indirectly teaches you how to keep your own body in its best and proper conditions.

    Course highlights:

This course required a lab which was actually my favorite part. We dissected specific organs (such as kidneys and a heart) as well as whole organisms such as a rat. I really enjoyed being able to apply the concepts from the lecture to the lab, as it really embedded the material in my head. I learned to identify parts of organs (i.e. parts of the heart such as the inferior vena cava), as well as demonstrating proper respiratory rates using lung models.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is very intense, but with the right attitude and interest, can be extremely rewarding. It is important to follow with the lectures AND attend class. Reading the textbook is also required for homework and quizzes as well as each test. Having detailed notes and diagrams helps for the exams, as there are both conceptual questions as well as models to label.
