    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She's a great teacher and applies chemistry to everyday situations or items. She gives you all the information and help you need you just need to know how to use the information correctly to succeed in her class.

    Course highlights:

This class was a tough course for me because chemistry just doesn't stick in my brain. But she provided video tutorials and was always there to help when students needed it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You will most likely have the take this course if you are going somewhere in the medical field or engineering. Make sure you take notes, go to the classes for the clicker points because those will bring your grade down, and also spend time studying every night or other night so you don't forget the material.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher was great, extremely knowledgeable in her field of study as well as many others, however, I took this course at 8 am and it was very difficult to comprehend the complex math problems we were learning because unfortunately she had a very thick accent. It was not until after I got outside tutoring that I began to understand the concepts. Great woman, just very difficult to understand.

    Course highlights:

She was very helpful in giving us every opportunity to succeed in the course, and understood that her English was not where she would like it to be as she just transferred her from Japan. But gave us alternatives to help us grasp the concepts outside of the lecture.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do your outside studies and really focus on the workbook and problems given in class. If you can understand the key concepts on paper before class it was easier to follow during the lecture.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Because it is a summer course, and being a chemistry class, it is very challenging, but Figueroa makes the class fun and simplifies it as much as he can. The course is steered towards the students favor of passing.

    Course highlights:

I personally enjoyed the way Figueroa makes this course endurable. I was a lot of early mornings for lecture, but late nights studying on you're own and he made the course as enjoyable as possible. He also made the course as relatable to real events as possible, so that it would be easier to understand and memorize the concepts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study! This course is demanding, and requires a lot of time and effort to really understand and pass this course. I honestly could have put in more effort and maybe received a B+ or a A-, but I focused on other things as well and passed with a B.
