    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

    Even if you are not a mass communications major, this class is an excellent introduction into how the world of mass media works for those interested. The topics we covered ranged from TV and cinema to viral videos and social interactions on the Internet. This course has a multitude of interesting subjects, and thers is certainly at least one that will you intrigue you.

    Course highlights:

    Despite being an intro course, you learn so much in this course. There's a lot of important terms that you have to know and understand, and once you do you're able to connect the dots and see how everything is interconnected. Plus we get to go over famous movies, television and viral videos, which is very cool. Professor Garcia is a very entertaining man, and he doesn't disappoint!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure you go to class regularly (attendance is taken with iClicker), but it is definitely worth it. Just a very interesting and overall solid course, whether mass communciations is your focus or not. Many guest speakers also come to class, providing valuable information and opportunities in the forms of internships and studying abroad.

    Course Overview:

    Professor Garcia is extremely interesting and knows how to keep your attention focused on the course. The actual work is not hard at all and he really helps you prepare for the midterm and final.

    Course highlights:

    The course is a nice introduction into Mass Communications and is good at giving oversight into the major. It gives the history and general descriptions of the main fields that you could go into.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    You should definitely take this course, as long as you do the work it is almost impossible not to get an A in Professor Garcia's class. Do the quizzes and go to the review classes and you'll do great.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    While most courses may not be very relevant to current events, this course can help educate anyone on most modern things being used today. Whether you are a communications major or not, this course is entertaining and beneficial for you.

    Course highlights:

    From this course I learned the progression of mass media dating make to the first newspaper to predictions for the future.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Although it may not seem like you have to take notes during lectures because online access to the book, it is in your best interest to keep a notebook with you.
