Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Van Elswyk is a wonderful professor and is extremely knowledgable. While the class is a lot of information he makes it easy to understand and is very helpful when asking him questions. He is down to earth and gets along great with his students as well.

    Course highlights:

This class taught me about all different aspects of each human disease. You learn about literally everything from heart disease and cancer to genetic and hereditary diseases.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the study guide that he provides to you in the beginning of the semester for each chapter. The final exam is cumulative of 20 chapters and is not optional. Having the study guide filled out throughout the semester makes studying for the final a lot easier.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it challenges you to think! I enjoyed it very much because the professor was a former OB/GYN and really was passionate about teaching the correct guidelines and helping his students learn the material.

    Course highlights:

Mostly you study sexually transmitted diseases, how they are transmitted, how they harm your body and how you can prevent and lower the risk.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot and understand the material!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I heard this class was impossible, but it is far from it. The class has 6 exams and a final, one exam is dropped. In class pop quizzes- 5 t/f questions, very easy.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Van Elswyk is a great professor because he is a retired MD. Very patient instructor and gives fair exams. You must know 100% of his slides and twitter articles, but overall not a bad class. He always starts class 5 minutes late because it is far away and ends class normally 15 minutes early.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the power points and go to class. He answers any question asked and will stay after to answer individual questions.
