Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Even if you're not going into a field that requires sociology, it is a good filler class at the very least. It opens up the mind to what goes around in your daily life, and actually provides some explanations to why certain act in particular ways. Overall though, the class is extremely fun, and the course material is very easy to understand.

    Course highlights:

I learned about how society affects human nature. By this I don't mean a be all end all explanation, but there are theories in which once understood, certain actions make sense. I also learned more about topics I already knew about like Feminist Theory and Marxist Theory, but learned how they are used today. We also talked about racial inequalities and what exactly is going on in our society, not much bias but a lot of facts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the chapter ahead of the class. This may seem obvious but it does help a lot, because the teacher will go over the chapter expecting you to have read it. Also just the lectures will not be enough. The tests/papers need information from both the lectures and the book. Also show up to class. Although attendance isn't a huge thing in this class, it sure does help to get those lecture notes. Finally, do a group study session whenever possible. These topics are meant to be discussed, debated even. Having an outside point of view will surely help. Good Luck!
