Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor takes a creative approach to the course, and although there is a significant amount of writing involved, she has succeeded it making the topics interesting. I have learned how to think critically about film instead of simply feeling that it was "bad" or "good" according to my own bias.

    Course highlights:

I have learned that art can be found anywhere- from a blockbuster film, to the amateur movie screened at the local film festival. Film is something that has become so commercialized that we've almost become numb to how much effort and creativity goes into making the film, and this class has helped me to understand the value in all of it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate. This course is writing intensive and so you will spend a lot of time creating outlines, editing, and polishing your content. The professor is looking for a high-quality, scholarly form of writing, but more than anything she will be looking for your genuine thoughts and critical analysis of each film that is discussed.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's an easy elective that fulfills the intensive writing requirement. That and it is kind of fun, all you have to do is watch movies and participate in discussions to receive credit.

    Course highlights:

It's teaches you how to look at movies through a more critical lens and it's a rather interesting way to view film.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the Power Points and enjoy movies and you'll be fine.
