    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She was a phenomenal professor! Dr. Banner is extremely enthusiastic about anything Chemistry related, and I had no problem being open with her about any questions or concerns I had. As well, I loved her teaching style so much that I took more than one course with her.

    Course highlights:

The different type of biomolecules important in the body. As well, researching my own biomolecule was intriguing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend that the students attend each lecture required for the course. Attendance is not required, but a lot of subject material is gone over in class that isn't discussed in the text.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is an extremely tough course. If you are not prepared to study each and every day, do not take this class. Merkler will prepare you for grad school. Many friends of mine have already gone of to medical school where they had to take biochemistry again. All have said, their biochemistry courses in medical school are ten times easier than Merkler's biochemistry course.

    Course highlights:

I learned the ins and outs of biochemistry. I can't say there were many highlights while taking this course- it was brutal. I took this course during my last semester at USF. I suppose the one highlight I carried with me walking across the stage at graduation- I passed Merkler's advanced biochemistry 2 course and what I learned will benefit me in PA school.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You must study each and every day or you will get behind. This class is in accumulation of knowledge and you must stay on top of everything. Do not give up.
