Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love the class. I learned so much. After taking this class I ended up switching my major because I loved it that much.

    Course highlights:

You learn about the barriers we have in society on the way we communicate and interact with others such as race, social class, gender, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Come to class, attendance isn't mandatory but the more you do the better.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course for the interesting lectures. The professor does a great job at involving everyone with discussions and activities. You will find yourself learning about the world around you and the different social issues going on as well. Definitely one of my favorite classes.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the lessons was the in-class activities. The professor makes an effort to give different teaching styles that never allow the class to be boring.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Buy the books and do the readings, you will need it for the in-class activities and to study for the tests. Try to get involved with in-class activities as they are fun, and you will find yourself enjoying the lectures. Don't miss too many classes as you might miss activities which count for a grade. If you do, just make sure to get good grades on the tests as they matter the most.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is very insightful and there is never a dull movement to be had. I think this is the first class I have taken where students don't fall asleep in the back of the room.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this class were the different activities and the discussions. Never was there a day where I walked out of class feeling unfulfilled or like it was a waste of my time. This course focuses on communication with different people and controversial topics that can sometimes be hard to address.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take this course if you do not like to read. The course load is light but the grades of the course are heavily weighed on exams and there are only three exams.
