    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it allowed me to focus on how to improve my essay writing skills and receive the help I needed at any time. Before going into the course I would advise asking questions even if the questions appear unintelligent. There is no such thing as a dumb question. One big answer to a small question can lead to great achievements.

    Course highlights:

In this course I gained the knowledge of how to properly outline and organize an essay while improving my vocabulary skills needed for future college English courses. I greatly appreciate everything Mrs. Andrews did for, not only the class as a whole, but each individual student.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Before entering the DE English 1010 and 1020 course, I would advise students to be open-minded about errors the teacher may ask them to change. The more the students will learn to correct the mistakes, the less they will redundantly repeat the mistake.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course seems very beneficial to my future and has taught my more about the writing techniques required to strive in the business world.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed Ms. Wright's reading assignments that she would give out for us to respond with. She is also very good at letting us freely write about what we are truly passionate about instead of forcing us to do strict essay topics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention and be respectful. Ms. Wright is very kind and helpful only if you are attentive and kind in return.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it helped me realize early on what college is going to be like. It helps you get a feel of college and how the classes work.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed this class because it helped me enter the first stages of college. It showed me the pros and cons of college and college level classes. I learned how to become a better writer with this class and wrote many essays and responses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to write. It is a writing class and you will be writing many responses and essays. In this class, I think I wrote at least two essays a week and responded to at least one story a week. You will also be reading a lot but not as much if you were in a normal senior english class.
