    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Mowry is a great teacher, not only in biology, but in life as well. Having her as a teacher will prepare you for what you might encounter out in the world and how to go about those things.

    Course highlights:

I learned plenty about how the body functions, especially in the presence of certain antigens and bacteria that harm your body. I also learned more about how plants function.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you pay attention in class because you might miss something very vital to the course. Also, do your homework always.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Anatomy and Physiology is a challenging course that keeps you constantly engaged. It is very interesting to learn about all of the body systems and how they work together to create a fully functioning and complex organism. If you are interested in a health career or biology/research career, this is definitely the class for you!

    Course highlights:

While studying is a major part of anatomy and physiology, hands-on learning is another large aspect. Events such as dissecting organisms and getting to physically see all of the systems connected and examining their structure was super cool! I learned so much about the human body throughout this course and I know at least general information about every body system.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The key to this class is to study, study, study! There is a ton of information to learn so it is important to keep your mind sharp. Also, quizzing your classmates and studying in groups or pairs is extremely helpful.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking chemistry honors because it's going to help you in the future.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of chemistry honors were the labs and getting to do hands on things. I learned that recipes in the kitchen are all made of chemical equations.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You really have to pay attention and take lots of notes. Once you understand what's going on, it's pretty easy, overall.
