    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class to students who have a weak background in algebra.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this class included developing great study skills and becoming fluent in calculus. In this course I learned to differentiate, integrate, derivate, and solve problems quicker.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to complete their homework every night and not to use anybody or anything for assistance.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was highly recommended. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. From the very beginning, the teacher is very clear on what she expects and the work that will be put in. You will learn with her; there is no doubt.

    Course highlights:

The highlights was her teaching methods. She was more focused on the students learning than the grades. For homework, she would send 8 of us to do 8 problems on the board at the same time and encouraged us to work together to solve them. She would answer all questions.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do her work, and read the textbook. There is no way around that. It' best to set up a schedule for doing her work and other classes. Organize your time as best as you can. Personally speaking, my other classes did suffer due to this, but if you time-manage and study properly , it won't affect you as much.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because like life, math has many ways to find the answer or the destination. Calculus has trained me to see the different paths to see the answer to the problem and how to get there efficiently.

    Course highlights:

Anyone can know what I learned by looking at the first eight chapters of the most recent Calculus textbook. But, they don't know what I gained: Increased comprehension, better problem-solving skills, and great deductive reasoning.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend to study for at least one hour per day afterschool to keep what learned fresh. If there is any trouble in the homework, try looking back at previous lessons because something might click. For example, Limits has a shortcut when the Limit of an equation is approaching infinity. Lessons tend to take pieces of other lessons to reinforce themselves. So, take a breather and try to read the material. It may look daunting, but in the end you will feel accomplished once you understand how easy the problem actually was.
