    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it truly allows students to build new opinions and perceptions of American government. It also benefits the students, as they can now make informed decisions and be able to engage in political activities throughout their life.

    Course highlights:

Personally, the best part of the course was the Political Socialization Chapter. It was truly eye opening to see that since the moment we can make cohesive thoughts and word, the world is shaping our political views. For example, the conditions one may live in, what is seen on TV, or what political party their parents may side with is all part of Political Socialization.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To be successful in this course, studying is crucial. It truly does pay off staying late at night reading the chapters for the second or third time. Being involved in class discussions and doing your own research out the textbook is highly beneficial and will help on quizzes a lot, and overall patience is a virtue that must be exercised with every course that may be challenging. If you put in the extra time, it will all be worth it.
