    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I myself did not enjoy the course—the teacher was fine, though. I didn't like the required reading and the writing was just very difficult for someone who didn't put a lot of energy into it.

    Course highlights:

The only highlight I can think of is the weighted GPA.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to put in the effort! AP tests are no joke and far too expensive to just be okay with failing! It is challenging but the weighted GPA is worth it and it is a choice to participate in the test. If you're not understanding the material or you need more study habits, it's okay, just ask for extra help from a friend or the teacher.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was an enjoyable class and our teacher provided useful tips for the AP Exam and SAT. She had high energy and she gave work that was challenging yet manageable.

    Course highlights:

Vocabulary and sentence structure were a couple of topics with which I struggled. With much preparation and practice from my teacher, I found that my skills were improving.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the summer reading if you don't want to get behind during the school year. It takes time, but it's better to take time during the summer than to procrastinate during the school year.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course and teacher does a great job in preparing you for the AP test. Mr. Thaxton also keeps the class interesting and fun! This class is a lot of reading, but not much writing.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to analyze novels and interpret them. I also realized the true meaning behind many classic books that have been morphed by Hollywood and the media.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read every assignment! You will most likely have a quiz over the reading.
