Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher seems to enjoy stressing the students out and there are very sudden, violent bursts of work. The class feels like a whirlwind, but does teach accurately how to handle an education at York Suburban. The workload is heavy, but the majority of the literature is classical and interesting.

    Course highlights:

Students will learn how to conduct a formal debate which is helpful later on in the English and History departments. Students will write often and gain expertise knowledge of Shakespeare and Transcendentalism. Tests are humongous, but are normally much less stressful than the teacher makes them out to be. I loved reading The Odyssey, The Scarlet Letter, and Lord of the Flies.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not get stressed out to easily. Procrastinate occasionally, but do not forget major projects. Use the schedule to the best of your ability. Make friends with other students and the teacher; you do a lot of group work! Study hard for tests. Be prepared for constant constructive writing responses.
