    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was one of the most fun and engaging classes I have ever taken. It has been one of the few classes I actually looked forward to going and listening to the lesson. It not only taught me what I needed to know for the AP exam, but it opened up new a new perspective for how I see the world.

    Course highlights:

This course teaches a deeper relationship between the algebra concepts of slope, polynomials, etc. It teaches about instantaneous and average rate or change, the relationships between position, velocity, and acceleration, and how to go from one to the next with the use of derivatives and integrates. It also teaches the many uses for each, dealing with geometry, physics, statistics, and others. And, it teaches the many methods used to find derivatives and integrals to be used on many different situations.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

There are many concepts and rules to memorize in this class, but with spending some time on practice and memorization everyday, the whole course will become easier. Also, recognizing when to use certain concepts is very important, so watching for key words and conditions will make it easier to solve each problem.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Calculus BC is a very interesting class that is great for students who excel in math and are looking for a challenging math course their Junior or Senior year. I liked the class because it gave me a challenge during the school day and gave me college credit with the AP test.

    Course highlights:

The class was not very exciting for the beginning of the year, but during Spring Term, as you begin to review for the AP test, the energy starts to build up and then the highlight of the year happens, which is the AP test. Over the course of the year, I learned about everything in math from basic limits and derivatives to polar equations and integrals.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to be successful in this course, you need to stay on top of your homework, take good notes in class and don't stress over tests, especially the AP test. If you Relax, Work Hard and have fun with it, I honestly think that AP Calculus BC is a pretty easy course.
