    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It has no value in the real world. I don't particularly like math anyway, but when I am never going to use it in the real world, why waste my brain space? The no calculator or formulas rule was also a challenge, as realistically, I will always have access to one, and the formulas are easy enough to find online.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about how to do do complex math without a calculator.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you struggle in Algebra, definitely get a tutor beforehand so they are available throughout the course. Unless you want to pursue this as a career, or it is required, I wouldn't take this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is great help, his teaching style matches the style of the AP Calculus teacher. I learned a lot from his class.

    Course highlights:

    Introduced the fundamentals of calculus.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

He is available for help, so go to him when you need it. Use the study guides.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking Pre-Calculus for anyone who enjoys math, or wants to understand why previously learned subjects work the way that they do. In pre-calculus, a student is also prepared to move onto calculus, which is a required class at many colleges and universities.

    Course highlights:

I learned tricks by which to graph functions, trigonometry, logarithms, exponentials, relationships between trigonometry functions, and practical application of all of the subjects I learned.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework! Even though homework might seem like a pain, it really does help to fully understand what you're learning, and figure out what you do not yet know.
